India has voiced an initiative to create the ICT Innovation Center in Azerbaijan, according to a protocol signed after the Second Meeting of Azerbaijani-Indian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation.
The necessary conditions associated with this project were presented through diplomatic channels to the Indian Embassy in Azerbaijan. At present, the Indian side is expected to respond.
The text of the protocol said that Azerbaijan is interested in signing a cooperation agreement with India in ICT. It waits for the proposals from the opposite side. This issue was considered by the Indian side during the first session of the intergovernmental commission.
India has also expressed interest in exploring the opportunities of cooperation in the field of information technologies, stressing that the Azerbaijani delegation should visit India and sign a Memorandum of Understanding.
