The Unites States intends to accelerate efforts focused on peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, ITAR-TASS quoted U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as saying during hearings in the House of Representatives.
"We have assured Azerbaijani that we will accelerate efforts focused on peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and other disputable issues that Azerbaijan and Armenia face," she said.
She promised that U.S. will take an active part in the work of the OSCE Minsk Group on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Clinton said the Department of State has sent representative to Azerbaijan twice for the last three weeks as a part of America's efforts.
"We hope that a solution to the conflict will be found in the coming months," she said.
