Not a single Georgian citizen suffered from the Minsk terrorist attack, the Georgian Embassy in Belarus reported based on direct information.
"A special commission was established to study the details of the incident. But according to preliminary data of the Belarusian law enforcement bodies, there were no Georgian citizens recorded among the dead and injured," the embassy reported.
A strong blast occurred as a train stood at the Oktyabrskaya metro station of Minsk on Monday. The attack killed 12 people and injured 129. This explosion has already qualified as a terrorist attack. The Belarusian media report that the law enforcement agencies have a suspect.
The embassy reported that it is in contact with the commission and that later information about Georgian citizens will be cross-examined.
According to various reports, about 100,000 Georgians reside in Belarus.
