Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 July / corr. Trend T.Jafarov / William Burns, the US Deputy Secretary of State for political Issues, left for Geneva to participate in discussions, which will be held between Said Jalili, the Iranian Supreme Council's Secretary General on national security, and Havier Solana, the European Union's (EU) Supreme Commissar on foreign policy and security, on 19 July, IRINN, the Iranian information channel, reported.
The US media assessed this step as a turning point in the uranium enrichment in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Jalili, the Iranian Supreme Council's Secretary General on national security, will meet with Solana, the EU Supreme Commissar on foreign policy and security, in Geneva on 19 July. The meeting will focus on nuclear program of Tehran. On 14 July Solana submitted to Iranian officials an offer package, which was developed by the West, on granting different economical benefits to the IIR.
