A project of the Avaza National Tourism Zone is intended to become a center of attraction for tourists from all over the world in Turkmenistan.
The ceremony on the occasion of the opening of the first facilities of the tourist zone "Avaza", as well as the presentation of the project of the second stage of development of this international resort on the shores of the Caspian Sea will be held in Turkmenistan on June 15, Turkmen Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend on May 29.
The project of the Avaza National Tourist Zone which was initiated in 2007 by the Turkmen president aims to become a center of attraction for tourists from all over the world.

With a wide range of customs and tax privileges, foreign investors have been invited to erect modern houses, sanatoria, children's health, hotels, as well as cultural and entertainment centers in the tourist zone.
In general, however, over $1 billion has been allocated to implement the ambitious project at this stage. The developed infrastructure is being established in Turkmenistan fFor the full functioning of the tourism industry in the Caspian region. A seven-kilometer navigable river crosses all Avaz. Along the hydraulic structures, comfortable recreation area will spread on both its sides with its picturesque squares and parks, sports facilities and socio-cultural destination.
The seaside Turkmenbashi airport of international class which is under construction will be a key transit point for the air route from Europe to South and Southeast Asia. The seaport will be fully redesigned and a national fleet will add ships, yachts and pleasure boats.
As part of the planned celebration, Turkmen culture and art figures will make a bright original program.
