Turkey will take important steps, both domestically and abroad to achieve the desired goals, said Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressing to the Turkish people, Anatolia reported.

Erdogan added that there is no reason for pessimism, and the government will not tolerate violation of the peace and stability in the country.

"We will never allow people's freedom, democracy, respect for law and human rights to be the topic for discussion," said Erdogan.

The recent events in the world show that the Turkish membership in the EU is important not only for Ankara, but also for the EU, he said.

"Turkey will become an important partner of the EU in the energy policy," the head of the government said. "Since the first day of our government, we say that Turkey will become one of the most important energy corridors in the world."

The signing of an intergovernmental agreement on the project "Nabucco" on July 13 in Turkey showed that the energy supply from the Middle East and the Caspian Sea to world markets is no longer a dream, Erdogan said.
