The inauguration of Forum of Friends of the Central Asia non governmental organization (NGO) was held in Delhi, spokesman for the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, Ilyas Omarov told Trend .
The main task of the new organization is to promote direct contacts between citizens of the region and India, particularly, with the countries of the Central Asia. The key objective of the organization is to encourage dialogue in culture, arts, business and tourism, Omarov said.
According to Omarov, India considers on the opening of representative office of the Indian Tourism Ministry in one of the CIS countries to intensify contacts in the region soon. In addition, in the near future Forum of Friends of the Central Asia will send its delegations to the Central Asia countries.
During the inauguration of the new organization Kazakh Ambassador to India Kairat Umarov welcomed the positive tendency of growth ties between the Central and South Asia, which contributes to expanding the Kazakhstan-India bilateral relations, Omarov added.
The Kazakh diplomat informed participants about the 18th General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization to be held in Astana in autumn, Omarov added.
According to Omarov, generally, participants appraised the creation of a public organization aimed at promoting relations with the Central Asia, regarding it as a" positive development ", which will contribute to regional cooperation.
