Irali Public Union has launched autumn debates.
Debate on "The United States - our strategic partner, or only superpower" was held on Oct. 2 with participation of a representative from the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan for Political Affairs, Joanna Hansen and the Azerbaijani Parliamentarian, Asim Mollazade, as well as representatives of the country's youth.
"The United States sees Azerbaijan as a strategic partner. Stable and strong Azerbaijan is a stable Caucasus," said Hansen.
The U.S.-Azerbaijan relations should be viewed from two positions, including support for the independence of Azerbaijan, democratic reforms, as well as energy and security issues, said Mollazade.
He said that the U.S. gets their information mainly from pro-Armenian sources.
