Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev approved the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data, which was signed on January 28, 1981 in Strasbourg, AzerTAj state news agency reported. The Convention had been ratified by the Parliament of Azerbaijan.
The President also approved the Convention on Cybercrime, signed on November 23, 2001 in Budapest. The Convention had been ratified by the Parliament of Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev has also approved Parliament-ratified joint declaration on basic principles of completion of the delimitation of borders between Azerbaijan and Russia and the division of water resources of the Samur River, signed on 29 June 2009 in Baku.
The agreement on exemption of visa requirement for holders of diplomatic, official or special passports between Azerbaijan and Syria, signed on July 8, 2009 in Baku, was also approved, which was ratified by the Parliament of Azerbaijan.
