Considering important achievements of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports in training for the development of sphere of physical culture and sports in the country, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on Monday to hold its 80-year anniversary, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
In November 2010 it marks 80 years since the activity of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports.
Since its activity the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport has made a significant contribution to the sporting life of the country. Students of the Academy, seeking greater success at the Olympics, World and European championships, have worthily represented the country.
Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan jointly with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, taking into account proposals of the National Olympic Committee, charged to prepare and implement an action plan devoted to the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport. The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan is also charged to resolve an issues arising from this decree.
