The law applied to the Convention abolishing the requirement of legalizing foreign public documents came into force in Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek President signed the law, adopted by the Legislative Chamber of the Uzbek parliament in January and approved by the Senate (the upper house of the parliament) in March.
The text of the law was published by the central media.
The convention, abolishing the requirement of legalizing foreign public documents, was adopted in October 1961 at the IX Session of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.
The Convention is considered to be a universal international agreement which replaces the requirement of diplomatic or consular legalizing foreign public documents.
The list consists of administrative documents, notarial acts and official marks.
