The political processes occurring in the country are normal for any democratic state, Azerbaijani Parliamentary Deputy Speaker Bahar Muradova said.

"For many years, the radical opposition has been regarding the government as illegitimate, while the ruling party is engaged in its work and undertakes activities to ensure the Azerbaijani state's and people's interests," Muradova told journalists on Friday.

In regard to comments by the opposition that the Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP) left the so-called Public Chamber under pressure from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Muradova said that the party didn't join the Public Chamber at the request of the NAP to leave it under its pressure. "All these statements are nonsense. Puppet organization wishes to conceal its collapse by such statements," Muradova said. .

The Azerbaijan National Independence Party recently left the Public Chamber. The decision was taken on April 18 at a meeting of the party's political council.
