It is historians who should write history and not MPs, new PACE chairman Jean-Claude Mignon told reporters expressing his attitude toward the bill to be discussed in the French Senate.
He said he opposes this bill.
"As a French MP, I categorically against this bill proposed by a group of members of the French National Assembly. I do not support such kind of bill because it will not solve the problem between Armenia and Turkey. It is historians who should write history and not politicians," Mr Mignon said.
