Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation headed by the deputy of lower house of parliament- Pakistani National Assembly Fazal-ur-Rehman, the press service of the Foreign Ministry told Trend on Tuesday.
At the meeting the sides discussed the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and the contribution of this cooperation to the relations between the two countries.
Mammadyarov thanked Rahman for recognition of Khojaly genocide by Pakistani Parliament and underlined the fairness of this step.
The Minister stressed that Azerbaijan will continue to support Pakistan.
Within the meeting concern was expressed over the Islamophobia tendencies in the world, the importance of strengthening dialogue and solidarity among the Muslim countries was emphasized.
