Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed the condolences to Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia Sept.12.
"Your Majesty, Dear brother, we have been deeply saddened by the news of heavy loss of life as a result of a tragedy in Grand Mosque, Mecca," Aliyev said in the condolence letter. "On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deep condolences to you, families and loved ones of those who died, and wish those injured recovery. May Allah rest the souls of those who died in peace!"
