A joint declaration was signed at the first quadrilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran and Georgia in Baku March 15.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze took part in the meeting.
"The declaration will expand cooperation among the countries in several spheres, including infrastructure, transport, agriculture," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at the press-conference following the meeting of the foreign ministers.
“We are working on the development of new projects,” he said. “We hope to unite efforts, create and consolidate the format of cooperation that will connect the major regions of the world in joint fruitful cooperation."
Mammadyarov said that the next meeting in the quadrilateral format will be held in Georgia.
