BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order "On establishment of the Center for Management and Development of Tourism and Recreational Zones under the State Agency of Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan," Trend reports.
The order establishes that the Centre is a legal entity under public law responsible for organizing, managing, and developing tourism and recreational zones in Azerbaijan.
A supervisory board, consisting of five members including a chairman and two deputies, will oversee general management and control of the Centre’s activities.
The Centre's day-to-day operations are managed by the executive director.
Funding for the Centre’s maintenance and operations will come from its income, donations, grants, and other legal sources.
