Ukrainian President arrived in Azerbaijan on official visit

The President of Ukraine Victor Yushenka arrived in Azerbaijan on a two-day official visit, Advisor of Ukrainian Embassy in Azerbaijan Igor Kizima informed Trend. Ukrainian President was welcomed by Azerbaijani Vise-Primer Yagub Eyyubov.

The head of the Ukrainian state is accompanied by the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Boris Tarasyuk, Vice-primer, Chairman of Ukrainian side of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Inter-governmental Commission for Economic Co-operation Andrey Klyuev, Minister of Emergency Situations Victor Balog, Minister of Fuel & Energy Yuri Boyko, Minister of Transport & Communications Nikolay Rudkovski and Popular Deputies Anatoly Kinah and Eduard Zeynalov.

Today, the Ukrainian President will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. In addition, the Ukrainian President is expected to visit Parliament and meet with the members of the Government. The talks will focus on the co-operation of trade and economy, and projects regarding energy security. During the visit, several inter-governmental documents are intended to be signed.

Yushenka will also give a speech on the topic of Foreign policy of Ukraine to the students and staff of Baku Slavic University
