The Ambassador in turn spoke of the friendship of Azerbaijan and Iran and their historical roots. "I have never seen myself as apart from the Azeri people. Azerbaijan is my second native land. I did not employ guards here because each Azerbaijani is my defender and I also consider myself a defender and soldier of the Azeri people. Azerbaijan needs a strong Iran and Iran needs a strong Azerbaijan ," the Ambassador said.
Suleymani added that all people are equal in Iran , Persians do not consider themselves better than the Azerbaijanis. According to him, all people in Iran , including Farces, love Azerbaijan . "Nizami Ganjavi, Fizuli and Shahriyar who wrote their verses in Persian are our poets and poets of the whole world," Suleymani said.
