Arrangements for Iranian President’s Visit to Azerbaijan Complete (video)

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend I.Alizade / The agenda for the forthcoming talks between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran, Ilham Aliyev and Mahmoud Ahmedinejat to take place on 21 August in Baku covers political, economic and humanitarian aspects of bilateral relations, Naser Hamidi Zare, the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said in talks with journalists in Baku on 20 August.

Part of the documents which are scheduled for signing during the Iranian President's forthcoming visit, has already been prepared. Iran also proposes the simplification of a visa system or its full removal between the two countries. Iran made similar proposals several years ago and it had been raised at meetings held between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, although no response was given. The heads of State of the two countries are expected to reach a relevant agreement.

At present a high ranking delegation of the Foreign Ministry and the Iranian Government is in Baku to hold talks on the final coordination of the itinerary and agenda of talks that the Iranian President intends to hold. The Governments of Azerbaijan and Iran will sign new agreements on cooperation relating to energy and transport sectors.
