Education ministers of Georgia and Azerbaijan visited Azerbaijani school in Marneuli

Education Minister of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov was satisfied with the condition of schools in Marneuli region of Georgia, populated by the Azerbaijanis.

Georgia, Tbilisi, November 25 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia / Education Minister of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov was satisfied with the condition of schools in Marneuli region of Georgia, populated by the Azerbaijanis. On Nov. 25, with his Georgian counterpart Nika Gvaramiya, Azerbaijani Minister visited school number 3 in Marneuli.

Minister presented to the pupils of Azerbaijani school laptops, and 18 pupils finishing school won gold and silver medals. Misir Mardanov and Nick Gvaramiya looked through the computer room.

"I was at this school several years ago and then left with a bad impression, but it is impossible to compare current conditions with those I saw, said Azerbaijani minister. He stressed that the school building was put in order. Mardanov noted that there are a number of projects to be jointly implemented at Marneuli schools. He discussed these projects at a meeting with teachers of local schools.

Gvaramiya said that as part of a nationwide program "Yakob Gogebashvili", 565,000 lari (about $350,000) was transferred to schools in Marneuli district for their rehabilitation.

Minister of Education of Azerbaijan is on visit to Georgia and got familiarized with the educational process at Azerbaijani schools in Georgia. We touched upon all issues of mutual interest, and openly talked about the problems that exist at Azerbaijani schools in Georgia, as well as at Georgian schools in Azerbaijan

He said that the sides agreed to resolve all questions in the atmosphere of mutual understanding.
