Uzbek athletes have won four gold and two silver medals in single competitions of the Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship, which is ongoing in in Tashkent.

On the fourth day of competitions, the gymnasts carried out exercises with a rope, ball, hoop and clubs and eight strongest athletes for victory in each category.

Aziza Mamadzhanova won three gold medals for the exercises with a ball, a mace and a hoop, and Husniyabonu Gulyamova won gold for the exercises with a rope. Silver medal for the exercises with hoop went to Sarvin Khalikova.

In single objects gymnastic competitions two silver medals were gained by Wang Ning Li, from Malaysia, two bronzes - Julia Kizima from Kazakhstan and one bronze medals went to Julia Semenova from Kazakhstan and one to Yong Li from China.

In group exercises with hoop and ribbon absolute favorites were Japanese team, which included Shiho Suzuki, Mako Sasaki, Momoko Nagai, who won gold medals. The Chinese gymnasts Du Ksyuki, Zhao Binzhin, and Wei Yiven gained silver medals in both categories. Uzbek group members Zarina Kurbanova, Luiza Ganieva, Olga Kiryakova and Veronica Ugai won bronze medal for an exercise with hoop. Ho Vivian, Yilin Faan, Sim, Anne, Chia Cecilia from Singapore brought "bronze" to their team with ribbon performance.

The competition is ending today and the participants will compete for medals in all-around events and two qualifications for Singapore.

The Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship was held in Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent with the organization support of the Asian Gymnastics Association, Gymnastics Federation and the Culture and Sport Ministry of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the International Gymnastics Federation.

The Asian gymnasts are fighting for qualification for the first Youth Olympic Games, which will take place in Singapore in Aug. 14-26, 2010.
