BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15. Development of digital skills is a hot topic in Azerbaijan, Country Manager for the World Bank in Azerbaijan Stefanie Stallmeister said during the "Our Digital DNA: Skills Of Tomorrow" panel session at the GSMA М360 Eurasia 2024 conference in Baku, Trend reports.
She noted that the level of initial digital literacy in Azerbaijan is notably high.
"We must provide daily digital tools to all. Developing fundamental digital skills is essential for the digital environment. Realizing individuals are ready for the digital economy is crucial.
In addition, we are actively focused on enhancing women's digital skills," she added.
To note, the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 international conference is taking place in Baku, spanning from May 15 through May 16. Azercell serves as the general sponsor of the conference, with support from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation of Azerbaijan. This event gathers leading experts, regulators, heads of mobile operators, IT corporations, high-ranking politicians, and other participants. This is the second time the M360 Eurasia conference is being held in Baku.
