Russian Rostov region reveals volume of beluga imports from Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 28. Two tons of live sturgeon fish for industrial cultivation (beluga) have been imported from Azerbaijan into Russian Rostov region, Trend reports via the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia.

"Documentary and physical control of the cargo revealed no violations of veterinary legislation. The supplier organization is included in the list of enterprises which have the right to export their products to Russia," the service said.

After the completion of all control measures provided for by law, the cargo was forwarded to the address of the recipient, and the supplies were made from December 23 to December 26.

Since the beginning of 2022, more than 3,000 tons of products of animal origin and 66 heads of cattle have been imported into the region.
