BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 30. The number of companies with Russian capital grew in Türkiye from January through November 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the TOBB, this figure amounted to 1,208, up by 1,043 companies compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Russian companies in Türkiye amounted to 486.2 million Turkish liras ($25.9 million) versus 84.3 million Turkish liras ($4.5 million) in the same period of 2021.
Meanwhile, most of the Russian companies (818) with a total capital of over 219.5 million Turkish liras ($11.7 million) were registered in Istanbul from January through November 2022.
Out of the total number of Russian companies registered from January through November 2022, 693 companies were involved in wholesale and retail trade, 83 - in export, and the remaining companies operating in other sectors of the Turkish economy.
