BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. The volume of goods and services in industrial production in Baku amounted to 25.2 billion manat ($14.8 billion) from January through May 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Baku City Statistics Department, as many as 81.7 percent of them were in the mining industry, 13.2 percent - in the manufacturing industry, 1.9 percent - in the production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0.5 percent - in the water supply, waste treatment and recycling sector.
The share of the private sector in the industry was 88.1 percent. The share of industrial products in the total volume of production amounted to 93.1 percent, and the provision of industrial services - 6.9 percent.
There were stocks of finished products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises in the amount of 432.3 million manat ($254.2 million) as of June 1, 2023.
Moreover, other products purchased from other enterprises and intended for sale in the amount of 59 million manat ($34.7 million) were also in the warehouses of industrial enterprises.
The volume of goods and services in industrial production in Baku amounted to 75.2 billion manat ($44.2 billion), while the volume of trade turnover in Baku in 2022 increased by 5 percent compared to 2021 and amounted to 30.8 billion manat ($18.1 billion).
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan produced products worth 86 billion manat ($50.5 billion) in 2022, which is 1.1 percent less compared to the same period last year.
