Azerbaijan details scope of its e-commerce platform transactions

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. The total number of transactions through the e-commerce platform in Azerbaijan today is more than 479.900 transactions, Co-founder of Epoint startup Hasan Hasanov told Trend.

According to him, the average transaction amount is 65.9 manat ($38.7).

He mentioned that the overall number of registered clients is 928, wehereas by the end of 2022, the volume of transactions had reached 219.600, with an average of 63 manat ($37) and a total turnover of 13.8 million manat ($8.1 million).

Note that the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), stemming from the CBA Digital Payments Strategy for 2021-2023, aims to expand the country's proportion of non-cash payments via payment cards by up to 48 percent.

Furthermore, this approach aims to grow the market share of contactless payment cards by up to 75 percent.
