BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. Azerbaijan's crude oil production in August 2024 was estimated at 489,000 barrels per day (b/d), Trend reports.
OPEC's latest data shows that the country's output rose by 1,000 b/d compared to July 2024, when it stood at 488,000 b/d. This also represents an increase of 9,000 b/d from the June 2024 figures.
In the first quarter of 2024, Azerbaijan's daily crude output averaged 477,000 b/d, down 10,000 b/d from the 487,000 b/d recorded in the fourth quarter of 2023. In the second quarter, production slightly decreased to 474,000 b/d.
From January to August 2024, Azerbaijan produced 19.3 million tons of oil (including condensate), marking a 4.9-percent decrease compared to the same period in 2023. However, the country is expected to produce over 30 million tons of oil and condensate by the end of 2024.
