Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 July / corr. Trend U.Ismayilova / The State Supervision Service on consumer market at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development imposed a fine in the amount of AZN 23,000 because of violation of standard and technical rules as a result of monitoring held at the food market, the state service said.
As a result of monitoring held by the state service in June it was revealed that a total of 1,553 products of 162 types were not issued normative technological document, 5,766 products of 462 types exceeded the time limit and 1,686 products of 266 types were of unknown origin.
As a result, 5,736 products of 462 types were withdrawn from sale and burnt, but 1,686 products of 266 types were withdrawn from sale and submitted to responsible person to determine origin of goods.
As a result of inspection held in 'Zolotaya Ltd' trade storage in Baku it was revealed that 648 expired products with changed expiration date and 2,258 expired confectionary products were stored at this storage. All these products were burnt and administrative sanction was imposed on owners of the trade properties.
The Absheron State Service also revealed and withdrew 31 kinds of food products, and imposed fine sanctions on owners of these products.
Regional sectors of the state service also held monitoring in Ujar, Barda, Goychay, Agdash, Kurdemir, Agjabedi, Sabirabad and Shirvan Districts, revealing that 379 products of 46 types were expired products, whilst 109 products of 12 types were goods of unknown origin.
Monitoring was held in low-lying regions of the country, where sale of margarine under name of dairy butter was revealed.
Employees of Guba-Khachmaz regional sector revealed 4,000 cooling drinks of Richal, 108 carbonated water and 341 packed food products not corresponding with technological normative documents, which were withdrawn from sale.
A total of 61 expired products of 24 types and 360 goods of unknown origin of 57 types were withdrawn during monitoring held in Lankaran District.
