Kazakhstan, Astana, 24 July / corr. Trend K.Konirova / Kazina Fund jointly with banks of the second level selected projects in the field of small and medium business in the amount of 115.5bln tenge, Bulat Zhamishev, the Kazakh Finance Minister, said the at a meeting of the government.
According to the Finance Ministry, the Government commissioned to Kozina Fund to allocate 50bln tenge on equal conditions for realization of projects on small and medium business a month ago. All means, which was envisaged for these objectives, had been allocated.
Moreover, project, which covers allocation of 28bln tenge out of the state reserve for the support of small and medium business by local executive bodies, was submitted for default concordance to the Industry and Trade Ministry.
According to the data of statistics, about 2,600 medium and 103,300 small enterprises operate in Kazakhstan. A total of 87% of them are small, which employs up to 10 people. A total of 627,600 people work at small business in the country.
Earlier Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Kazakh President, stated that part of small and medium business should amount to 40%in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by the beginning of next decade.
"Kazakhstan will reach stability, when 60% of employed people work at small and medium business," the President forecasted.
