The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Bulgaria hit 96.1 percent in 2008, charge d'affaires of Bulgaria to Uzbekistan Ilko Slavchev said at the news conference in Tashkent.
In 2008, the trade turnover between the two countries hit 13,613 million dollar (7,183 million dollar in 2007). Uzbekistan exported 2.362 million dollar to Bulgaria and Bulgaria exported 11.251 million dollar to Uzbekistan.
"Bulgaria supplies to Uzbekistan medicaments, shampoo, tooth-paste, creams, face soaps and electric devises," Bulgarian Embassy Trade and Economic Service Head Georgi Proynov said.
Uzbekistan exports to Bulgaria chemical fertilizers, oils, cotton goods and cotton yarn.
The Ministry of Foreign Economy Relations said that Uzbekistan's investments and trade in Bulgaria registered 39 joint and six private companies.
