During the meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov head of Turkish holding Rixos Hotel Group Fettah Tamince expressed his company's interest in realization of the project to establish Avaza resort near the Caspian Sea.
Official Turkmen source said that the company realizes similar projects in Europe and countries of the Persian Gulf.
"Rixos Hotel Group is rather interested in establishment of cooperation with Turkmenistan. The international business-community considers Turkmenistan as merely prospective partner to realize numerous national and regional projects," Turkish businessman said.
Berdymukhamedov stressed unchanged readiness for open and mutually beneficial cooperation in the spheres where Turkmen interests dictate necessity in drawing huge investments and modern technologies."
Turkish President Abdullah Gul expressed confidence in great future of offshore resort on the Caspian coast in August. He said that joint efforts in the sector prospective for Turkmenistan's national economy are very effective.
He told about it in Mediterranean Antalya where Berdymukhamedov arrived to participate in the investment forum.
"Turkish partners are ready to give Turkmenistan their rich experience in tourism," chairman of the Turkish Tourism Investors Association Turgut Gur said.
He said that Antalya was deserted place some time. Its construction was launched from nothing. Now it turned into world resort due to laborious work.
Tourism holds special place in Turkmenistan's strategic plans. New tax and customs benefits are given to investors, firms and companies operating here. Presently, total cost of facilities constructed on the Caspian coast hits more than $1.5 billion.
Now a new airport, highways, gas-turbine electric power station, water-desalinating and water treatment facilities are rapidly constructed. Several sanatorium-resort facilities will be put into operation in October. Aqua-parks, yacht-clubs, artificial navigable river and other facilities will be constructed within the second part of Avaza's construction. There are projects on construction of oceanarium, sheltered skiing resort, cycle track and casino-city.
"Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea and south fields of Kopetdag are lands healing and strengthening health of natural clinics. Archman, Bayramali, Mollakara, Yilisuv and other natural sources can be compared with the best world resorts on their healing properties, Berdymukhamedov said being on visit to Turkey.
