A patient infected with swine flu (A/H1N1) in Azerbaijan feels well. At present, he is in the Pulmonary Diseases Scientific and Research Institute, the Azerbaijani ministry of health said on November 5.
"A patient's state is improving," the ministry said.
The ministry also said that the state of a patient's relatives, arrived in Azerbaijan with her, is normal. They do not have symptoms of the virus.
"Prophylactic measures are being conducted towards people arrived with the infected woman from Ukraine. At present, they do not have the swine flu virus," the ministry said.
Analysis of the infected woman's husband and daughter will be known tonight, Azerbaijani Anti-Plague Station Deputy Director Shair Gurbanov said today.
An Azerbaijani citizen temporarily residing in Ukraine's Ivanovo-Frankivsk region was found to be infected with the swine flu after returning to the Azerbaijani region of Kurdamir by railway late October, the Azerbaijani Health Mnistry said today.
At present, the patient is undergoing treatment. She feels bad.
Two cases of swine flu were revealed in Azerbaijan in July. The infected individuals arrived from France and the UK. Both have fully recovered.
