Prospects of further expansion of operations in Azerbaijan and the current situation of cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will be discussed during EBRD President Thomas Mirow's visit to Baku on March 15-17, the EBRD Baku office said on Feb. 10. This will Mirow's first visit to Azerbaijan. Former EBRD president, Jean Lemierre, visited Azerbaijan in April 2006.
"Azerbaijan will become the first country, which Mirow will visit as part of his tour to the Caucasus countries, and it testifies the importance of country in the region and its geopolitical and economic development," said at the EBRD Baku office.
After Azerbaijan, EBRD president will leave for Georgia and onward Armenia.
