Azerbaijan imported approximately 10,100 cars in January-March, which is 40.5 percent less than in January-March of 2009, the State Statistics Committee said.
The State Statistics Committee said that the total value of imported cars in January-February amounted to over $81.3 million, which is 22.8 percent less than the same period of 2009.
Azerbaijan imported 900 units of trucks in January and February, which is 61.4 percent less than in 2009. The total value of imported cars amounted about $21.7 million, which is 31.2 percent less than last year.
Also in the first quarter the republic imported 231 buses, that is 13.2 percent more than in January-March of 2009. Buses in 2009 were imported in the amount of approximately $11.6 million, which is 6.6 percent more than the same period last year.
Azerbaijan imported 130 units of trucks in January and April. Also the country imported 130 cars in January-April, which is 4.3 times more compared to the same period of 2009.
