Azerbaijan, Baku, April 16/Trend, N. Ismayilova/
The National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES), which is part of the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan (MED), financed five investment projects to establish milk-producing pedigree cattle centers in Azerbaijan, the MED reported on Friday.
The NFES assigned 13.9 million manat for the construction of five cattle-breeding centers with a total number of 5,150 head of cattle.
Owing to a preferential credit, Kürdəmir Süd Emalı Zavodu, a milk refinery with the production capacity of 8,400 tons a year, and a 500-head cattle-breeding center were put in operation in the Kurdamir region. The NFES had assigned 3.2 million manat for this project.
Note is that 200 heads of cattle were delivered to the cattle-breeding center from Germany on Friday. The cows produce 25-30 liters of milk a day. The center uses modern equipment manufactured by Germany's GEA and Strautman, and Netherlands' Conexx.
Qara İnək Fermer Təsərrüfatı, a 450-head cattle-breeding center, was put in operation in the Agdam region in 2010 at the price of NFES money.
The rest cattle-breeding centers established due to the NFES financing will become operational in 2011.
The official rate on April 15 is 0.7927 manat to $1.
