Pensions and wages increased by 15 percent in Uzbekistan

Wages of budget-paid employees , pensions, allowances and stipends have raised by 15 percent in Uzbekistan from Aug. 1, 2011 at the presidential decree .

Minimal wage and zero degree on unified tariff scale is 57,2 00 soums per month starting from Aug. 1 , while pensions per age and disability allowances from early childhood is 111,9 00 soums per month , older allowances and disability allowances for citizens without necessary work experience is 68,7 00 soums per month .

All types of extra pays and rise to wages , as well as pensions, maternity allowances for caring children aged under two , allowances to families with children , compensation and other pays , set with regard to minimal salary , are in effect from Aug. 1, 2011 , of minimal wages.

Expenses related with the increase of wages of budget-paid employees , pensions, allowances and stipends will be covered though the country's public budget and non-budget Pension Fund at the Finances Ministry .

Self-supporting association, enterprises and organizations will increase wages in line with the minimal wage , set by this decree through increasing efficiency of production and cut in labor expenses .

Uzbekistan last increased wages, pensions, stipends and social allowances by 1 . 1 times on Dec. 1, 2010. Then minimal wage was set at 49,7 00 soums per month , pensions per age and disability allowances from the early childhood was 97,3 00 soums , older allowances and disability allowances for citizens without necessary work experience was 59,7 00 soums per month .

Official exchange rate was 1 , 724 . 94 soum per $1 on Aug. 1.
