Eight documents of economic nature will be today signed within the Kazakh-Korean business forum in Astana, Kazakh Information and New Technologies Ministry said.
The forum will bring together about 300 representatives of business circles of both countries, 200 of whom will be participants from Kazakhstan, a reference material disseminated prior to the forum says. The Korean delegation includes heads of major South Korean companies such as Samsung C&T Corporation, Korea National Oil Corporation, Hyundai Corporation and others.
The forum will be attended by the South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov.
In 2010 bilateral trade turnover volume reached $542.1 million. Gross inflow of direct investment from Korea to Kazakhstan amounted to $4 billion from 1993 to the first quarter 2011.
