The National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES) under the Economic Development Ministry in 2011 allocated 29.8 million manat preferential loans for the development of settlements in Baku, NFES executive director Shirzad Abdullayev told reporters as a result of another credit fair in the Bilgah settlement of Surakhani district of Baku.
"These loans are provided to finance projects of 174 entrepreneurs. At the same time, large loans have been allocated for the implementation of 24 selected projects, including eight projects involving the construction of greenhouses, eight - plants for the production of bread and five - poultry," said Abdullayev.
According to him, the share of projects in Baku and its settlements in the overall portfolio of NFES in 2011 reached 26 percent, while in 2010 this figure was 0.5 percent, an increase of 26 percent.
