Kazakhstan will allocate 7.5 billion tenge ($50.63 million) for innovation grants in 2012, head of local content development department under the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies Altair Zhunusov said on Friday, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
"It is planned to allocate 7.5 billion tenge from the state budget for innovation grants in 2012," Zhunusov said.
Zhunusov said that Kazakhstan allocated 7.5 billion tenge for innovation grants in 2011 and 1.7 billion tenge ($11.48 million) in 2010.
