Georgia and the EU signed two financial documents in the framework of cooperation.
Minister of Georgia on European integration Tornike Gordadze signed two financial agreements on behalf of the State under the plan of action in 2011, the total budget of which amounted to 23 million euros, the State Ministry for European Integration told Trend.
This is - Sector Policy Support Programme to assist internally displaced persons and host communities - 19 million euros, the program of peace settlement - four million euros.
The signing ceremony was attended by the head of the EU Delegation to Georgia Philip Dimitrov.
Head of the Directorate for Development and Cooperation Commission Markus Cornaro has already signed the documents on behalf of the European Commission in Brussels.
Sector policy support program to assist displaced persons and host communities is aimed at ensuring the long-term refugee housing and poverty alleviation project.
Measures to restore the confidence of the population affected by the conflict, to improve basic infrastructure and housing, and promote the generation of income are provided in the frame of the peace settlement program.
