Kazakhstan ups gold production by 47 percent in Jan.

Kazakhstan increased gold production by 47 percent in Jan. 2013 compared to the same period of 2012, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Statistics Agenecy.

The country produced 3.624 tons of raw, semi-finished and powder gold in the reporting period.

Refined gold production hit 1.899 tons in this period (81.9 percent increase).

Kazakhstan produced 76.690 tones of raw and semi-finished and powder silver in Jan. 2013 (55 percent increase compared to the same period of 2012). Refined silver production amounted to 76.541 tons in this period (56 percent increase)

Refined raw, unalloyed copper production decreased by 3 percent to 29,051 tons in this period, raw zinc production decreased by 5.4 percent to 25,320 tons.
