In January-June 2018, money transfers of individuals from foreign countries to Azerbaijan amounted to $527.8 million, which is 15.8 percent higher than in the same period last year, says the balance of payments, posted on the website of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
During the reported period, money transfers from Azerbaijan, amounted to $170.2 million, having increased by 4.3 percent compared to the same period of 2017.
According to the balance of payments, the volume of money transfers to Azerbaijan in 1H2018 was 92 percent of total revenues from secondary incomes.
During the reported period, the total value of operations carried out by Azerbaijan with foreign countries on secondary income amounted to $783.7 million, which is 14 percent more than in 1H2017. Of these, $573.5 million fall on the country's revenues.
The cost of humanitarian goods imported to Azerbaijan for the period accounted for seven percent of the country's revenues, and other revenues – for one percent of the country's revenues.
Azerbaijan has a positive balance on operations with secondary incomes, which amounts to $363.4 million, and which is 2.4 percent more than in the same period last year.
