Transactions in the total amount of more than $65.6 million were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan in August, Trend reports with reference to the exchange’s data.
Transactions in both the Turkmen manat and foreign currency were registered on the exchange of Turkmenistan during the reporting month.
In particular, transactions in the amount of $48.5 million were made in foreign currency, and in the amount of over 60 million manats (over $17 million).
During the exchange, products were sold both to Turkmen and foreign entrepreneurs.
Transactions in the total amount of more than $192 million were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan in July
In July, transactions in the amount of $142.3 million were made in foreign currency, and in the amount of 177.4 million manats ($50.5 million).
The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
