BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan decreased by 29 percent in value and 1 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.

As indicated in the data of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 256,000 tons worth over $173 million in 4 months.

Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, Iran’s non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan stood at 259,000 tons worth over $245 million.

The main goods traded between the two countries for the reporting period were rubber materials, agricultural and food products, petrochemical products, industrial products, equipment, etc.

In the 4th month of the current Iranian year alone (June 22 through July 22, 2023), the non-oil trade of the two countries was 55,600 tons worth approximately $52.6 million.

In total, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover was $35.4 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.

Overall, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to more than 784,000 tons worth over $688 million for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023). This is an increase of 13.1 percent in value and 8 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
