Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 May / Trend / On 16 May, АВВ Turbocharging inaugurated its new turbocharging facility in Baku. The station will serve customers in this region. The presenceof local service is very much essential to meet the needs of rapidly growing power plant sector in this region, as well as constantly modernizing and expanding Caspian Sea shipping industry. Opening of Baku-based station of the company will enable to serve ABB customers in the Caucasian region for 24 hours. ABB Turbocharging in Baku is integrated with the ABB Azerbaijan LLC, and is also fully supported by the regionally experienced and well-established ABB Turbocharging service station in Dubai, UAE, as well as by the headquarters of ABB Turbocharging in Baden, Switzerland.
The station manager Mahmud Rzayev stated in the inauguration ceremony that the company ABB still coninues to invest for Azerbaijani economy development. The high qualified specialists, who were trained in Azerbnaijan and abroad, will work in the station.
Axel Matthias Kettmann Senior General Manager Service, stated that currently the company ABB considers the possibility to create the original harbour in Azerbaijan to support the operations in the Caspian Sea region. One of the key reasons of opening the office in Azerbaijan is that the company wants to be more close to its customers, the comapny Wartsila, Kettmann said.
Josef Grandl Manager Subregion Central Asia & Caucasus, stated that the company's main plans are to extend its operations in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is a country with accelerated developing economy. ABB is interetsted to implement projects, engineering and services in the country.
The cooperation is also expected to be extended in the sphere of autoimmunization of processes, transmissions, services, and also in the decisions to transfer and distribute the electric energy.
