Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 July / Trend / "In January to June, 2008, about 11.1bln KW/hour of electric power was produced in Azerbaijan, while in the same period of 2007 about 11.4bln KW/hour was produced," Azerenerji OJSC reported on 4 July.
Thermoelectric power stations produced over 9.5bln KW/hour and hydroelectric power stations produced about 1.6bln KW/hour of the energy manufactured in January to June.
In June, Azerenerji produced about 1.5bln KW/hour of power, while 1.4 KW/hour was produced in the same period of 2007.
About 1.3bln KW/hour of the electric power produced in June 2008 was manufactured by thermoelectric power stations and about 0.2bln KW/hour by hydroelectric power stations.
In June, power was exchanged with neighbouring countries - Russia, Iran and Georgia.
