Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 July / Trend / From January to June 2008, 5.2bln cu m of gas was handed over in Azerbaijan, including about 3.4bln cu m of gas delivered by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
From January to June, the rest 1.9bln cu m fell on the associated gas, which is produced by the Azerbaijani International Operating Company (AIOC) together with the oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field and the Shah Daniz field.
About 844.5mln cu m of gas was supplied to the government in June, some 559.8 cu m was from SOCAR, 284,700 cu m - from the AIOC and the Shah Daniz.
Under the PSA contract, signed in 1994, AIOC transfers associated gas, lifted together with the oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field, to Azerbaijan free of charge [excluding volumes that the AIOC needs for the conduct of oil and gas operations under the agreement.
