Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 July/ Trend / Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC has completed the construction of a new water-purifying facility with a capacity of 1,200 cu m an hour in the Baku Oil Refinery Named After Heydar Aliyev, the company said. The new facility has been produced by the German FACET.
The facility has been checked out and tested by the specialists from Germany and Czechia.
Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev produces all kinds of light oil. The oil refinery is expected to refine 5mln tons of oil in 2008 which is supplied by SOCAR who produces crude in the fields. In January to June, over 2.3mln tons of oil has been produced in the oil refinery. In the first half-year of 2008, over 1.1mln tons of diesel fuel has been produced in the refinery versus 625,000 tons in January to June 2007.
Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC purifies about 15mln cu meters of industrial water a year. The annual purification of the polluted water comprises 1.3mln cu m, 600,000 cu m of which is supplied to the self-contained system of water supply.
The co-founders of Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC founded on 1 March 2006 to address ecological problems in Absheron peninsular are SOCAR (51%) and Lancer S.A. Services (49%).
