Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov.11 / Trend /
Iranian gas exports to Armenia were suspended today, the Iranian Export Gas Company's Eighth Region Director Valiulla Dini was quoted as saying by the MEHR news agency.
Technical inefficiencies on the Armenian side led to the suspension of the gas exports, Dini said
Some two million cubic meters of Iranian gas have been exported to Armenia per day since early 2009. The volume of exported gas will increase by 10 millions cubic meters per day due to the construction of the new pipeline, Dini said
According to Dini, there is no problem with gas exports to Nakhchivan and Turkey.
"At present Iran imports 1.2 million cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan per day," Dini said
